Abraham Reyes

Abraham (Abe) Reyes was born in NYC on October 3, 1967, to Mario and Gladys Reyes of the Dominican Republic. He was the second youngest of seven children. When he was 12 years old the Reyes family relocated from Queens, NY to East Massapequa, NY where he grew up. There he completed his education and went to work as a handyman. Some years later, he met his true love and life partner, of over 30 years, Marcia Taveras, and eventually established family roots with her and her two sons Anthony and Reuben. Soon thereafter they relocated to sunny Orlando, Florida where they built a life together filled with many wonderful memories, adventures, challenges, and lots of love and laughter. Spending time with family and friends was paramount for him, as some relocated and began to pursue life and career goals elsewhere, he always took the time to reach out and stay connected. Abe was a comedian at heart; he loved making jokes and spoofs and kept friends and family in stitches. He fully enjoyed life, hanging out with his friends and family and having a "good ole time'. Abe was a kind and caring individual who was naturally great with his hands, always working on some capital project, could fix almost anything, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He spent his last few years working as a commercial installer for Right Guy's Kitchen Install, LLC and living a peaceful life with Marcia and his family including his adored flock of chickens. Abe loved his chickens more than life; he gave them family nick names and missed them terribly when working out of town as they truly kept him grounded and at peace; he enjoyed waking up each morning to tend to them. Abe will truly be missed. His love and memories will live on through family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mario and Gladys Reyes, Parents'-in-law Inocencia and Pedro Chiari; brothers-in-law John and Jerome. Abe is survived by his beloved Marci; stepsons Anthony and Reuben; siblings Flavia (Jerome), Benny (Nurys), Seris (Mike), Rosa (Michael), Candida (John), and Moises; his in-laws Maribel, Marta, Carlos, Chris, Eduardo, Roberto, Augustin, Luis, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends. ma
