Adam Scott Delabar

Our beautiful son, Adam Scott Delabar, age 34, of Orlando, Florida, passed away early in the morning of Monday, July, 23, 2018. He was born August 20, 1983 in Orlando, Florida. Adam is survived by parents, William Delabar, Donna Anders (Robert); his sister, Rachel Delabar; his grandmothers, Joyce Delabar, Helen Wills; his uncles, Terry Delabar, Woodrow Wills; his aunts, Jackie Trexel, Pamela Wills Hudson, Wanda Dunlop; childhood brothers Landon Williams, Logan Williams, Chris Hendley; his many cousins and close friends. Adam’s service will be held at A Community Funeral Home, 910 W. Michigan Street, Orlando, FL, 32805 on Sunday, July, 29, 2018. Friends, relatives and anyone wanting to pay their respects or say goodbye may visit at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00pm; a Celebration of Life Service will begin there at 3:00pm. During that time, we will also open up the floor for anyone who would like to say a few words, share a memory, or thought of our beloved Adam. Adam was passionate about helping others and making a difference. He had a huge heart and would give the shirt off his back for his family or a friend in need. He deeply loved his country and was extremely proud to have the opportunity to defend this land of the free and home of the brave! He loved the outdoors – whether siting in a tree stand for hours, camping, spending the day on the beach or out on a boat, exploring a new trail – but especially catching those big ole fish. Adam was a sports fanatic! You could hear him cheering on his Kansas City Chiefs or Atlanta Braves, whooping at the crazing driving during the latest Nascar race, enjoying challenging his dad to a round of golf, or pursuing that perfect 300 bowling score. Adam was an avid martial arts fan and held a black belt in Taekwondo, as well as enjoyed Krav Maga. Adam graduated from Cypress Creek High School, Orlando. He earned his Associate in Science, Computer Information Technology, and Associate in Science, Aviation Operation. Adam served honorably in the United States Air Force, where he was an in-flight refueling operator instructor. He served many overseas deployments with distinction. He was also a disabled veteran. He received numerous awards, most notably the Academic Achievement Award, Airman Leadership School; Air Crew of the Quarter; Air Crew of the Year; and several Air Medals awarded for Meritorious Achievement during operations in support of ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. Prior to joining the Air Force, Adam was a martial arts instructor and program director. He wanted to help instill confidence and a positive physical and mental self-image in his child and teenage students. Adam was proud to volunteer time, talent and compassion with Give Kids the World, the Red Cross (hurricane clean up), JROTC, American Cancer Society and United States Air Force Honor Guard. To all that knew and loved him, help keep his spirit and memory alive by reaching out each day to make a positive difference in someone’s life.
