Angel Luis Rivera Ortiz age 58, of St. Cloud, Florida passed away on Thursday September 7, 2023. Angel was born on October 17, 1964 in Cidra, Puerto Rico. Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad. It takes someone special to love his wife and place his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and son. Angel “Luis” embodied empathy, positivity, consistency, and most importantly love. For these reasons, he will be forever missed by those who love and adore him. Angel was a hard-working soul. He was a Plumber/Pipe Fitter by trade for over 30 years. Most recently working for Coastal Mechanical Services, where he has served his company well for 19 years. His attention to detail and dedication to his craft and to those who work alongside him is what set Angel apart from others. When not at work, you can catch Angel being your neighborhood handyman. Angel offered a helping hand to all of those he came in contact with. Whether it was changing out lighting fixtures, assisting with plumbing, or even cutting grass, Angel found solace in working and helping others. Aside from work, Angel had a passion for cars, fishing, food, traveling and family. Angel absolutely loved fishing. It was an activity he found comfort in as he was able to relax and reflect on life with those he adored. The pure enjoyment in his face when catching a fish will forever be cherished. “People who give you their food, give you their heart.” Angel’s heart was in every dish he made, as he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends for any occasion. Name a park, a beach, or any venue, you can count on Angel to be ready to cook with “sabor y amor.” Traveling was the vessel in which Angel’s relationship with his family and friends grew strongest. Angel enjoyed traveling anywhere near the ocean. Whether it was on a cruise, going to the beach, or visiting his homeland of Puerto Rico, Angel found comfort and pure bliss. A passion for cars is where Angel’s thrill side shined through. He enjoyed working on cars. At a young age, he was known to take apart and put back together an engine. His passion for cars, specifically his Jeep Gladiator, led him to find a Jeep Club by the name of Hi-Lift Nation 4x4, an organization of Jeep enthusiasts that was built on the foundation of family, friends, and activities. Angel was an active member and will forever be cherished and remembered. Angel was charismatic, hospitable, super joyful, and passionate. He made you feel like you belong and would invite you into his home without question. Angel was above all, a family man. A trait of a true Borinquen. He was a man with a great sense of humor. He took pride in making those around him laugh. He was a man of commitment. He took pride in giving you his word. Angel loved his family very much and would do anything necessary to ensure his family was taken care of. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his parents Hilaria Ortiz Ramos and Virgilio Rivera Hernandes. His wife Lourdes Rivera. His children Luis A. Rivera, Brenyalis Rivera, Christopher Pabon, Keishla M. Rivera, Ashley Pabon, Adamaris Rivera Melendez. His siblings Carlos Rivera, Wanda Ivette Rivera, Olga Rivera Reyes, Valeria Rivera Reyes, Melanica Rivera Reyes. His grandchildren Ricardo Y. Rivera, Luis J. Dicupe, Adriannie M. Rivera, Liliany M. Rivera, Derrick Lacourt, Delyalis Lacourt, Mia Jolynne Berndt, Emily N. Rivera.
