Martinez Rincon *10-20-1934 +09-23-2017 Born in the area of Perija, in the bosom of a humble and working family, he was the second son of Pedro and Alejandra. His brothers Samuel, Wilmer, Mary Luz, Sergio and Nerva. As a child he was considered, always wanting to please his mother and sensitive to the point of getting sick if he was scolded by her. His mother had great plans for her children, and with much perseverance stimulated in them from the young the desire to be overcome by means of studies, which paid off. To follow this goal the family moved to Maracaibo. Thus were his following years used in the studies of baccalaureate. Having received a scholarship he moved to the United States, where he first studied the English language in New York, and then his technical career in Atlanta, achieving the acquisition of his title of electrical engineer. Upon returning to Venezuela and having done the validation of his title, he worked for PDVSA. In these times he met his first wife Jeannette. With her she had five children: Norin, Ivan, Alixa, Liliana and Mervin. During the following years in his professional life he was founding professor of the University of the Andes, general manager of ENELVEN and finally professor for the University of Zulia, where he finished his career as deen of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. His love for the countryside, where his roots were, made him ambition the establishment of the Hacienda La Feria. Every weekend he worked there hard but with immense passion to form a dairy cattle that was not susceptible to the inclement weather and very productive. Among its agricultural activities, he was able to work tirelessly in the cleaning of lands, in the selection and sowing of pastures or other fruits, in the maintenance and repair of tractors and all types of machinery, in the sealing and vaccination of livestock and more. After the failure of his marriage he assumed the role of father full time. Being many years without couple but in his own words satisfied of sharing the growth and achievements of his children. After an unexpected convalescence Jeannette died at an early age. A few years later he secured his relationship with Aidee. With unparalleled love, loyalty and rapport they have been able to enjoy many years together. To share with family, students and friends who are very much appreciated, the activities of the Rotary Club where he had the satisfaction of being founder and also presiding over two periods. Also of the arrival to maturity of his children, who in their search for happiness have moved mostly to other lands, have married and have given him the title of grandfather. His grandchildren are: Daniel, Ma. Victoria, Santiago, Ivan hj., Andrea, Melissa, Rebecca, Sebastian, Helena, Alejandro, Samuel and Paul. His character was always cheerful, although at times he could be tempestuous if one tried to distance him from his convictions, committed to his goals, interested in his neighbor and to transmit his knowledge in an unconditional and disinterested way. In his life he gave and received, he left his mark on earth and in many hearts.
