In Loving Memory of Jonathan Foster Castillo Jarvis Jonathan Castillo born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico passed away peacefully in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 32. His life was quiet, simple, and free from the pursuit of status—but it was full of a gentle presence that touched those around him in subtle, meaningful ways. Jonathan was a good soul—someone who saw the good in everyone, even when others couldn’t. He didn’t seek recognition, but he offered kindness freely. His heart was open, his judgment rare, and his presence brought comfort and understanding to those who knew him. He is survived by his loving mother Evelyn, father Bolivar, his two devoted sisters Yaritza and Lisette; his stepfather, Julio; three cherished nieces and three beloved nephews. He is also remembered by his extended family in Puerto Rico including many aunts/uncles and cousins and the Dominican Republic including his four brothers Johan, Angelo, Ambiorix and Adonis Castillo, two nieces and one nephew, many aunts/uncles and cousins, who all hold him dearly in their hearts. Jonathan shared a deep bond with his mother, shaped by all the tough times and storms they weathered together. Their love was quiet but strong, rooted in everything they had been through side by side. He also shared tough-love bonds with his sisters—relationships built on honesty, resilience, and a deep, unspoken care. Even when words were few or moments were challenging, the love between them endured. Though he had no children of his own, Jonathan deeply loved his nieces and nephews. They were his joy, his light, and his reason to smile. Whether through quiet moments, playful laughter, or simple acts of care, he made sure they knew they were loved. Jonathan also shared a special closeness with his cousins, who were more like siblings than extended family throughout the years. Whether through childhood adventures, late-night talks, or simply being there for one another, these relationships were a quiet source of joy and strength in his life. Their bond was built on laughter, loyalty, and a deep understanding. Jonathan’s presence will be deeply missed by them, but the memories they created together will live on in their hearts. He also had many friends from all walks of life—people drawn to his warmth, sincerity, and quiet strength. He also had a deep love for basketball. The sport brought him both comfort and connection—it was one of the places where his spirit came alive, and where he felt part of something bigger. It was a quiet passion that brought him joy. Above all, Jonathan loved God. His faith was personal and steady—not loud or boastful but present in his everyday life. It was the quiet foundation of his journey, guiding him through each day. Jonathan’s life may have been short, but it was meaningful. He lived with quiet grace, touched lives in small but lasting ways, and left behind a legacy of kindness, love, and unwavering faith. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” Psalm 23:4
