Luis Alberto Garcia del Busto

Luis Alberto Garcia del Busto, 74 passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2023 due to complications from Diabetes and Coronary Heart Disease. Luis was born November 16th, 1948 in Camaguey, Cuba. He immigrated to the United States on April 9th, 1962 and became a naturalized United States Citizen. Luis is preceded in death by his parents Orencio L. and Maria J. Garcia del Busto He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 23 years, Toni S. Garcia del Busto and his sweet dog Maggie. His son, Luis Garcia del Busto Jr., Cristina Howard, Step son Erik Margeson, wife Nichole and Granddaughter Brook, Brother Orencio J. Garcia del Busto and wife Patty, his sister Josie Marotta and Nieces and Nephew Angie, Julie, Michelle and Brian and their spouses. Luis attended Boone High School in Orlando and started his illustrious career with Walt Disney World Co. in 1969 building models and doing fiberglass work for the staff shop making the magic happen with his hands in building and repairing models. After a short break from Disney, he worked at Circus World and as an Interior Designer for J.C. Penny, he returned to Disney and continued his career in several departments such as Ride & Show Animation, Tree Fab, Decorating, Parades, Christmas, Entertainment Support, Scenic Services. Prior to retirement he was the Manager of the Character Head Department with over 100 Cast Members. He was part of the team that went to Italy to bring back the Wonder Cruise Ship to the U.S. He loved what he did. Luis met and married his wife at EPCOT during a July 4th Fireworks Show. It was a life long love and was truly devoted to her for the rest of his life. Luis was a devoted Catholic and parishioner at the Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a joyful, kind man and always smiling and spreading good cheer. He never met a person he did not like, there were no strangers. Luis was very proud of his Cuban Heritage, he love his Cuban music and dancing, enjoyed watching boxing and working out was his past time. He loved to have fun, Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on August 29th, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.
