Luz Raquel Roman

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Luz Raquel Roman, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and mother-in-law. Affectionately, known as Rachel, she passed into her eternal rest on October 31, 2024, in Sebring, FL. She was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, on April 27, 1948. As a child, her family moved to New York City, where she lived most of her life. Rachel had the heart and resilience of a true New Yorker. In her final years, she adjusted to the tranquility of Pennsylvania, where she continued to share her warmth and love. Rachel was a remarkable single mother, dedicating her life to the care and nurture of her family. As a young adult, she worked hard while simultaneously caring for her elderly mother. She then became the most dedicated mother to her two daughters, Jennifer Gonzales-Frisbie and Tania Cintron. With unwavering strength, she worked for 35 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, tirelessly supporting her family. Rachel faced each challenge with grace, managing her responsibilities with a fierce love that defined her life. Her legacy is reflected in the lives of her nine cherished grandchildren—Hailey, Angelina, Riley, Daniella, Julianna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Evangeline, and Everley—each of whom she held close to her heart. Rachel cultivated strong, personal relationships with each grandchild, showering them with the same unconditional love that she bestowed upon her daughters. Rachel was the epitome of compassion and generosity, giving of herself freely and without reservation. She was a living example of forgiveness and kindness, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether as a daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, or aunt, Rachel played each role with a warmth and kindness that blessed the lives of everyone around her. Though she led a simple life, her tastes were elegant, and she brought beauty into the everyday moments. Rachel had a spirit that could light up any room, and her laughter will forever echo in the hearts of her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, brother, sisters, nieces, and nephews—all of whom will carry her memory forward. Luz Raquel Roman was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all she touched. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the beautiful life she lived, forever etched in our memories.
