In Loving Memory of Marie C. Charlotin April 26, 1975 – May 2, 2025 Born on April 26, 1975, in Jean-Rabel, Haiti, Marie was the beloved daughter of Vilace and Josilia Charlotin. She grew up in Gonaïves, Haiti, where she attended school and shared her childhood with her brother, Edrice Charlotin, and sister, Edynne Charlotin. Her father immigrated to the United States in 1980 and settled in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1992, he brought the rest of the family from Haiti to join him in Fort Lauderdale. In 1995, she embraced the journey of motherhood, welcoming four children from her first marriage: Andy N. Oreus, Ashley Oreus, Jusline Oreus, and Jusnie Oreus. A decade later, in 2005, she met and married her second husband, the love of her life, Konson Antoine. Their connection was immediate and enduring — built on laughter, shared values, and a deep love that became the foundation of their home. Together, Marie and Konson were blessed with two more children, Qwinson D. Antoine and Keturah K. Antoine, completing their beautiful, blended family. Finally, in April 2024, she joyfully welcomed her first grandson, Jasiah A. Joseph, born to her eldest daughter, Ashley. Marie approached motherhood as her greatest adventure and most sacred responsibility. She believed in the power of both roots and wings, giving her children a secure foundation while encouraging them to chase their dreams. Also, she was their biggest cheerleader and toughest critic, always pushing them to be their best selves while loving them unconditionally. On July 20, 2019, Marie made one of the most meaningful commitments of her life — dedicating herself to Jehovah God. From that day forward, she walked faithfully in her spiritual journey, finding peace and purpose in her service to Jehovah. Professionally, Marie served as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over nine years. She brought comfort, dignity, and compassion to every patient she cared for, treating each one with the same kindness she showed to her own family. Her passion for helping others was more than a career — it was an extension of her generous spirit. Beyond her work and role as a mother, Marie filled her life with the simple things she loved: tending her garden, preparing meals with love, enjoying shopping trips, traveling when she could, and spending quality time with her family. She believed in working hard, living honestly, and giving generously — not only to her loved ones but to anyone in need. To the extended family and the community, Marie was the one you called when you needed help — and she never turned anyone away. She gave without hesitation, loved without condition, and made you feel seen, heard, and valued. Marie Claude passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at the age of 50, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Her absence leaves a void that words cannot fill. Marie’s legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith will live on in all who knew her. We will forever carry her memory in our hearts.
