Marie Niva Pierre Glemaud

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Niva Pierre Glemaud, at Orlando, Florida, who peacefully departed this life on November 8, 2024. Born on February 2, 1964, in Bainet, Haiti, Niva was the beloved daughter of Marie Laurente Otilien Pierre and the late Jacques Colbert Pierre. Niva is survived by her loving husband, Mildor Glemaud, and their two daughters, Schwaneer Ann Myriam Glemaud and Wagnac Nissa Glemaud. She is also deeply mourned by her cherished mother, Laurente Otilien, along with numerous siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and an extended family who loved her dearly. She leaves behind countless friends, colleagues, and students who were inspired by her, and whose hearts she forever changed. Niva’s legacy of love, education, and unwavering faith will continue to shine through those who were fortunate to know her. Niva dedicated over 40 years to the field of education, beginning her career as a teacher at the Marie-Dominique Mazzarello School in Haiti. She later went on to establish several educational institutions, including the Marie Louise Trichet School in Delmas 66 and the Maria Goretti School in her hometown of Bainet. Through her tireless efforts, Niva provided educational opportunities to countless children, offering scholarships to those in need, and ensuring that her schools became pillars of academic and spiritual growth. Her influence as an educator shaped the future of many in her community. Beyond her work in education, Niva was a steadfast pillar of her community. She was the founder of Notre-Dame de la visitation Church in Bainet, where she selflessly gave spiritual and material support to those in need. Her generosity, kindness, and leadership touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside her. Niva’s contributions extended beyond the classroom and the church. In the legal community, she was highly respected by the members of the Barreau de Port-au-Prince, and her impact was felt across multiple sectors. Through her advocacy and dedication, Niva worked tirelessly to improve the social, educational, and legal systems, earning the admiration of colleagues and peers alike. Throughout her life, Niva was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend. Her family was her greatest joy, and she exemplified love, wisdom, and resilience in all that she did. Even as she faced health challenges, including a stroke in 2024, Niva remained strong in her faith, continuing to offer unwavering support to her family and community. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, the joy of service, and the importance of love and generosity. Niva’s memory will forever inspire those who knew her to live lives of purpose, kindness, and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, just before the Mass. The entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, Apopka, FL. Niva’s life was a beacon of light and love, and though she has passed, her spirit will continue to guide all who were blessed to know her.
