Mary J Withey "Jeannie"

Mary “Jeannie” Withey (Jackson) entered heaven after a courageous battle with lung cancer on April 6, 2017, she was 53 years old. She was born December 3, 1963 to Henry and Marnie (Hollars) Jackson in Orlando, FL. Jeannie was a loyal wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to everyone she met. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School and the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree. She was a very proud alumni and supporter of U.C.F. Jeannie was beautiful, vivacious, outgoing and loved life and she especially loved spending time with her son Jack. She worked over 20 years as a paralegal for Donald Henderson at Mateer Harbert in Downtown Orlando. She was active in the Princeton Elementary PTA while Jack attended school there and volunteered at College Park Little League. She spent countless weekends with Jack while he played on travel baseball teams and she enjoyed every minute of it. She was looking forward to watching Jack play on the JV baseball team at Edgewater High School this year and attended every game up until the end. Jeannie was full of life and if there was music playing, could always be found on the dance floor. Jeannie enjoyed many evenings sitting out on the back patio with her family and their dearly loved boxer Willow. Jeannie is survived by her husband of 17 years, Phillip Withey, son Jack Withey, stepdaughter Tyler Ann Eberhart (Sam), stepson Austin Withey and granddaughter Madelyn Eberhart. Additionally, her brother Kenneth Jackson and her sister Marna Shelby (Randy). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and a host of long-time friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to thank Dr. Tseng, Dr. Vollenweider and all the amazing doctors and nurses who cared for her at the UF Cancer Center and Orlando Regional over the past 18 months. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for April 21, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at A Community Funeral Home. Friends and family who would like to share stories and memories of Jeannie will be encouraged to do so during the service.
