Morlan Lachmanen

Morlan Lachmanen was born in Belvedere, Corentyne, Guyana on May 4th, 1964. He was the youngest child of the late Supramani, known as Menard, and late Maharanie, known as Juliet. Along with his two surviving siblings, Gilbert and Anita, they lived a simple but happy life. Morlan attended Belvedere Primary School. In the year 1982, Morlan and his family migrated to Queens, New York. They rented a small house in Far Rockaway from a family called the Kumars. Little did he know, he would eventually become apart of the Kumar family as a result of his love for their daughter, Radha. After a romantic courtship spanning many years, Morlan married the love of his life, Radha in July 1987. The love they shared for one another blossomed into what would become the start of their family, with the birth of their first child Steven in 1988. Five years later, their family became complete, after the birth of their daughter Kimberly Sara, in 1993. Morlan and his family moved from Queens to Broward County, Florida in 1996. Within a few years, he accomplished his lifelong dream of owning his own home. He was employed as a mechanic and worked tirelessly for his young family. In 2015, Morlan and his family relocated to Orlando, Florida, where he lived for the remainder of his life. Morlan was a person that radiated joy, love and passion for life. He was devoted not only to his wife and children, but to all his extended family and friends. He found immense satisfaction in helping others, whether it be home repairs, car maintenance or simply being there in rough times. Morlan was the type of man who could befriend a stranger in a matter of minutes. He spent hours every week calling his family and friends to tell them he loved them and was thinking of them. Morlan had a variety of interests but he especially loved gardening and fishing. He was happiest when outdoors, working on renovation projects for the home he was so proud of. He was a brilliant handyman. Morlan's love for music and dancing will always be remembered and as most would agree, he was always the life of the party. It is cruel and unfair that a man like Morlan had to leave us so soon. He had so much left to do in life. He touched hundreds of hearts and will live on forever in our memories. We will honor and remember his kind face, his genuine soul and his many acts of service to those he loved. We pray that he watches over us and gives us the strength to live on without him until the day we meet again.
