Nadera Yiesha Munnings-Walker

Nadera Yiesha Munnings-Walker, age 41 of Altamonte Springs passed away November 13th, 2021. Monday October 27th, 1980, was a beautiful, sunny, tranquil day on the Island of New Providence, the capital of the islands in The Bahamas. It seemingly was a reflection of the ray of sunshine sent from heaven announcing that Orrald and Angela Munnings had given birth to the fourth of five children; a bouncing baby girl whom they auspiciously named Nadera Yiesha . To those who loved her most she was known simply as Gia or GG. On February 15th 1981, Nadera was dedicated at St. Johns Native Baptist Cathedral Meeting Street, by then Pastor Reverend Ornan Azariah Pratt. A bubbly baby with cheerful personality and a very unassuming disposition, Gia had a unique way of attracting and befriending people from all walks of life with her warmth, good sense of humor and pleasant nature. Nadera received her early education at the Carmichael Primary and the Government High School in The Bahamas. Her tertiary education began at Seminole Community College and later Florida Metropolitan University where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Health Care Administration, receiving numerous Awards and Certifications. An independent Gia found part-time employment while pursuing her Degree. She left a good impression at those establishments namely, Sea-World, Frito Lay, Quest Inc., Physically Disabled, Florida Hospital-various departments including Radiology and Health Care Administration, Orange County Department, Health First, Child Protective Care, Chase Bank, and United Health Group as a Senior Analyst until her demise. Left to cherish fond memories of Nadera “Gia, GG” are: Her Husband: Byron Steve Walker. Three (3) Children: Elijah, Elizabeth and Eliot, Brother: Feron C. Rolle Sisters: Gaylene Forbes-Munnings, Nicole S. Knowles (Shawn M. Sr.), and Shakera Munnings, Nephews: Shawn Jr. and Christopher M. Knowles, Nieces: Hannah Hill, Caznique Rolle, and Shiloh Pike. Aunts: Minister Carolyn Hanna Major, Janet Moss (Vernon Sr.) Bahamas Catechist Eva Hunter, Marion Johnson, (Pastor Erskin), Minister Debbie Munnings, and Beryl Newbold, Uncles: Samuel Hunter (Edna), Stephen Adderley (Carolyn). Best Friend: Luanne Darville Cousins: Henry (Florinda) , Andrew, Lester (Sharon), Kirkwood (Paulette) and Craig Farrington, Ryan and Wellington III (Chandra), Gilbert, Julian (Fannie) Hunter, Frederick (Monique) Hanna, and Vernon (La’Shan) Moss, Patricia (Harold) Bridgewater, Stephanie Moss, Kenva (Patrick) Roxbury, Samantha Hunter, Shantia (Chris) Davies, Kiva and Dr. Kiko Bridgewater and Stevette , Stevanna and Steven McSweeney Jr. Other Relatives and Special Friends too numerous to mention. Please pray for us as we get through this most difficult time .
