Otonier "Tony" Ortiz, 65, of Orlando, FL passed away Friday, August 14, 2015.Otonier "Tony" Ortiz Sr.,Orlando Florida, Born May 2,1950 to Laurentino Ortiz and Dominga Valentin-Ortiz, survived by Wife Myrna J. Ortiz, Children: Daughter Lori Ann Salazar, Son Edwin C. Salazar , Son Otoniel T. Ortiz Jr., Daughter Jackie S. Ortiz; Grandchildren: Carmen Ana Salazar, Edwin Laurentino Salazar, Lilith N. Bellechasse, Gabriel N. Ortiz, Analiese C. Ortiz; Great Grandson: Julian G. Martin. Bonus Sons: Carlos L. Gaudin , Edmundo Arias ,Matthew A. Howard Bonus Daughter Sherry Ortiz, Sisters Ana Ortiz, Nereida Delvalle, Myrna Martinez, Ada L. Roldan. Brother: Milton Ortiz, Nelson Ortiz,Oscar Roldan. God Children, Oscar D. Roldan Jr. (Resting), Lissette M. Gaudin, Carlos Garcia Jr., Alida Roldan Santiago, Iliana Arias, Ernest Viana, Lisa M. Roldan Rivas, Sophie M. Martinez, Janice Martinez, Joseph Perez, Robert Perez, John Perez, Christie Perez, Rigoberto Delvalle, Osbaldo Delvalle, Amaris Delvalle, Lisette Del Valle, Joel Del Valle and many cousins and friends. Otonier served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves from 1975 to 1980 he earned the rank of Sergeant/E-5. After serving his country Tony started his career with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) as a serviceman and after 25 years he retired as Garage Manager for the Archer Station. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, cooking, coaching his sons inner city baseball team. After retiring from CTA Tony tried hobbies but quickly realized that he was not a stay at home kind of guy, he took a part time job at Auto-Zone as a sales associate but somehow ended up becoming a store manager. In 2012, Myrna and Tony moved to Virginia to meet their first Great Grandson and Tony was instantly in love. Julian was Tony's heart. Tony would wake up early every morning and sneak into his room and take Julian downstairs so they could make breakfast together. This is what made Tony happy. Tony was a family man who was known for being a man of honor who always put his family first. He chose his friends wisely and if you were his friend you were his family.
