Patricia Anne McGoldrick

Patricia Anne McGoldrick passed away peacefully at her home on March 12, 2026, surrounded by her family, at the age of 87. Born on January 9, 1939, in Amityville, NY, to Wilson Henry Volkman and Jessie Wilma (Nichols) Volkman, Pat had one sister, Iris, all who are deceased. Pat grew up on Long Island, NY, graduating from Farmingdale High School in 1957. She went on to study fashion merchandizing at Chamberlin Junior College in Boston and worked as a fashion retail buyer in New York City. She moved back to Boston, married, and had four children. She became an accomplished real estate agent and could spot a hot property from a mile away. In 1980, Pat married John McGoldrick and welcomed his children into the family. The family moved to Foxboro, MA, home of her favorite football team, the New England Patriots. Go Pats! Pat and John moved to Celebration, Florida in 2003 and were married for 35 years. Her beloved John passed in 2014. A few years later, Pat met U.S. Army Colonel William (Bill) Connelly and they have been inseparable ever since. During their time together she wrote and published Bill’s biography, Colonel. Bill is a loving and essential member of Pat’s family. The biography is linked here: https://a.co/d/0bb0wD3N Pat loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed spending time with everyone, especially during the holidays, which were a priority for her. One of the things that Pat enjoyed greatly was traveling. Whether by car, plane, or boat, she was passionate about exploring the world. She also enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her friends in the Celebrators. Patricia was a loving and devoted mother to Susan Lynch (George) of Deltona, FL, Pamela Allen of Oak Hill/Herndon, VA, Douglas Allen (Elise) of Oneida, NY, and Julia Volkman (Adam) of Westhampton, MA. She was also stepmother to John McGoldrick (Caroline), Janet McGoldrick (Cathy), James McGoldrick (Gerri), and Joanne McGoldrick (deceased). She also leaves behind her wonderful and talented grandchildren, who called her Mimi: Steven, Sean, Devin, Wilson, Hunter, Dante, Emerson, Hayden, Harper Helena, Joshua, Conor, Matthew, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Little John, Ryan, Erin, and her many great grandchildren. Additionally, her nieces and nephews were always close in her heart. We all will miss her greatly. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1050 Celebration Avenue, Celebration, Florida. A Celebration of Life will occur immediately following from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, the location will be announced at the church. We encourage all those who attend to wear colors that remind them of Pat's vibrant spirit. Please note that a livestream link will be available soon for those who cannot attend in person. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Pat's name to a charity of your choice, including those charities who support vulnerable children in need of medical care, who are orphaned, or need educational support.
