Ronald Ron Carter

Ronald Carter affectionately known as "Ron" was born on November 30, 1972 in Lansing, Michigan, to Jerry Carter and the late Lula Faye Carter. Ronald attended Lansing Everett High School where he played football & the team nicknamed him "Mad Dog." His passions included going to the gym, spending quality time any chance he got with his family and going to amusement parks where he enjoyed riding roller coasters. He was a huge sports fanatic and loved coaching football where he was called "Coach Carter." Ron, also known to some as "DJ Trend", had a huge appreciation for music either writing or performing. As a youngster, he would perform for his high school talent shows & have the crowd rockin' with his Prince impersonations! Ron moved to Orlando in 2004 as a single parent with his son Ronald J. Carter II. He then met his loving wife, Darolyn who was also a single parent; they married on New Year's Eve 2006 & combined their lives to have the perfect Blended Family! Ron was a loving father who raised his children to be responsible, caring and respectable, not to mention sports fanatics just like him. He was so proud of his children's accomplishments and made sure he was present at each and every event to cheer them on. He was a loving husband who enjoyed spending quality time with his wife, Darolyn, going dancing or just sitting home watching movies or hanging out in his "man-cave" entertaining friends or family. Ron was a straight forward man who didn't hold back anything. He wouldn't be offensive about it but was just passionate about his beliefs and getting his points across. He was always smiling and had a positive attitude about life while always thinking outside the box. The Lord in His infinite wisdom deemed it timely to call our beloved Ronald to his eternal home on Saturday, August 5, 2017. His departure is a deep and personal loss to his family and friends and he will be greatly missed by them all. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Faye Carter; grandmothers-Georgia Mae Clemmons and Amanda L. Carter; and grandfathers-James "Bill" Carter and Bill Clemmons; uncle- Kelly Clemmons; cousin- Tedrick Carter. He leaves precious memories that wiII forever be cherished to: devoted wife: Darolyn Carter; his sons: Ronald "Jabari" Carter II, Alvin "AB" Bryant, Jr.; his daughter: Sergeant Toni A. Campbell (Thaddeus); his brother: Roderick "Rod" Carter; his granddaughter: Jassia L. Campbell; nieces: Delana Carter, Ashlee Henry; aunts: Maxine Coward, Rosemary Clemmons (deceased); uncles: Durvin Coward, Ted Carter; great aunt: Lillie Mae Tallison; cousins: Ramon Sharpe (Karen), Uyeshitia Ward, Durvin Coward Jr., Salathel Coward, Kiyuana Coward; life-long best friend, Jimmy Martin, and a host of other family members and many, many friends.
