Benn Steven Irwin

June 25, 1964 - March 5, 2021

Benn Irwin, age 56, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021 in his home surrounded by his wife and children. Benn was born in London, England on June 25, 1964 with a full head of hair and big brown eyes. Benn lived his childhood years in Altamonte Springs, before there was a mall and large shopping plazas. He proudly attended Lyman High School and was actively involved in choir. Benn was social and until his passing remained in contact with many from this era of his life. Benn was a restaurateur and a natural leader. His career spans many decades from busboy to executive to owner. He had a passion for excellence and motivating people to be their best on the job. Benn played as hard as he worked. He loved the Florida Gators. He enjoyed sports immensely, both watching and participating - you might have joined him golfing, biking, running, skiing or playing racquetball. He was a class act friend. Benn’s kind heart and welcoming personality left all wanting more time. He cherished several lifelong forged friendships and he will be greatly missed. He loved to participate in his children’s school activities and events. Benn enjoyed Boy Scouts in his youth, then with his boys. Benn was an active member of Journey Christian Church. He openly shared his faith and the wonders associated with living a purposeful life. Benn is survived by his wife Carmela, daughters Emily and Avery, sons Benn and Blake, grandsons Parker and Pierson, mother Gloria and siblings Richard and Frances.
