Donald Brannon Sharp

Donald Brannon Sharp, of Orlando FL passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 31, 2022, at the home he shared with his loving wife Audrey. Don was born on September 27, 1953 in St Louis, Missouri, but he spent most of his childhood in South Florida; the family moved to upstate New York in 1969. He attended Romulus Central School and graduated in 1971. Don enlisted in the US Air Force. His military career (active duty, reserves, and as a civilian) with the Air Force included working as a fuel systems mechanic on the F-4 Phantom and the C-5 Galaxy. He later transitioned to Flight Engineer on the C-5. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam era and Operation Desert Storm. The locations where he was stationed include Maine, New York, California, Thailand, Oklahoma and Hawaii. After his military career he continued to work as a Flight Engineer on civilian cargo and charter aircraft including the 747 and DC-10. Some of his charter operations were assisting with transporting troops and cargo during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He was blessed to have safely traveled all over the world. After retiring, he received Veteran's training and employment as an Electrician. Don was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. We miss him so much. He enjoyed spending time with family - skiing with his older sons; vacations to Hawaii; holiday beach house gatherings with all the family; water parks and Disney with his younger children and grands. Preceded in death by his parents, DeWitt Brannon Sharp and Patricia Ann (McGrath) Sharp He is survived by his beloved wife Audrey Burgos Sharp Sons: Brannon Sharp and wife Susan, Michael Sharp, Jason Sharp and wife Katie, Daniel Sharp, and James Sharp Daughters: Victoria Sharp and wife Chelsea, Alexandra Lampton and husband Stephen, and Angelica Sharp Siblings: Karen Sroka and husband Edward, Kathy Rehm, James Sharp and wife Sylvia, Janice Sharp and husband Frank Bieser Grandchildren: Zachary, Zoe, Wylie, Wesley, Sean, Savannah, Leilah, Bear, and Ryder Nieces and Nephews: Brannon and Angeli Sroka, Jake Bieser, Teresa Rehm, and Danny Rehm The family wishes to thank the many neighbors and friends who have shown so much kindness and support in our time of sorrow.
