Kin Yee Lau Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kin Yee Lau ("Papa Lau") passed from this life on May 21st, 2022 at the age of 72 years in his residence in Kissimmee, Florida, following a heart attack. Beloved Father of Gary Lau, the late Harry Kar Bo Lau, and Bryan Kar Yen Lau. Father in law of Ruth Charity Lau, and Grandfather of Mavis Sophia Lau. Kin Yee was born on January 13th, 1950 in mainland China to father Wah Ming Lau and mother Soo Lau. Kin Yee lived in China, Hong Kong, New York, and Florida during his life. He loved to fish and cook for everyone he loved. He was never found without a wok, chopsticks, and a cup of loose leaf green tea. He was affectionately known as "Papa Lau" to his son Bryan, his daughter in law Ruth, and their friends. Kin Yee is survived by his sons Bryan Kar Yen Lau and Gary Lau, his granddaughter Mavis Sophia Lau, his three sisters, Margaret Chiu, Mee Ling Chung, Teresa Quock, and his two brothers Steven Lau and Raymond Lau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his Father Wah Ming Lau in 1998, his mother Soo Lau in 2017, and his son Harry Lau in 2015. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the viewing and funeral service held at A Community Funeral Home and Sunset Cremations, 901 W Michigan St, Orlando, FL 32805 on Saturday June 25th. Viewing begins at 3:30pm, funeral service starts at 4pm.
