Lois A. Terry Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lois A. Terry, 83, was born on November 9, 1938 in Albany, NY. She passed away on June 16, 2022. First and foremost, she was a loving mother of four. She was also an enthusiastic caretaker of countless animals over her lifetime and had a special place in her heart for canine companionship. Lois was abundantly curious—always eager to learn about new plants, animals, people, and places. She spent the majority of her life working at Sea World, where her many interests converged. It brought her great joy to connect with people from all over the world with whom she could share her infectious passion for animals and learning. Lois was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Michael Paul. She is survived by her four grown children: Diane Staley, Nancy Elksnitis Paul (Dave), Brian Elksnitis (Katie), and Richard Scott Elksnitis. She has six grandchildren: Joe, Dan, Robby, Alex, Sarah, and Savannah as well as one great-grandchild, Perrin. Lois will best be remembered for her devotion to her Catholic faith and church community as well as her love for the natural world around her. A funeral mass will be held for Lois at St. James Cathedral on Saturday, July 9 at noon, with Father Miguel Gonzalez officiating. Lois’ remains will then be placed in a niche at Queen of Angels Catholic Cemetery, Winter Park, FL.
