Orville J. McMurray

Orville "O.J" McMurray, 75, passed on to his eternal rest on February 28, 2022 in Orlando, FL. Born in Blountville, Tennessee on January 4, 1947 to parents Orville Jess McMurray Sr. and Grace Tomlinson, both preceding him in death. O.J is an Army veteran that proudly served his country from 1967 to 1972, he served two tours in the Vietnam war, and was honorably discharged in 1972. In 1979, O.J met the love of his life in Joanie MontsDeOca . They dated for 9 years before marrying in 1988. After 34 great years together, O.J leaves to cherish the memories of his life; his dear wife, Joanie MontsDeOca-McMurray. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Joe "B.J" Johnson from Summerville, South Carolina; daughters, Tonya D. Vansickle and Margie Renee Thompson both from Tennessee; son, Nicholas P. Willet; sister in law, JoEllen MontsDeOca-Taylor; Nieces, Tammy Turner Stratton, Angelique MontsDeOca-Perez, Nichole MontsDeOca; nephews, Tyler Turner and Carlos Perez; five grandchildren, one Great-grandchild, three great nieces and six great nephews; as well as many more family and friends that will miss him deeply. O.J loved his fur babies, and they will miss him deeply; pet dog, Miracle Grace, and 6 kitties that lived in the house; Oscar, Peaches, Raggedy Ann, Lily, Rusty and Sugar. For 18 years Oscar was his best friend, buddy, fur baby, son and companion. The bond he shared with Oscar is unbreakable. Oscar and O.J were rarely apart, and even now their spirits will still be intertwined even thought Oscar is still with us. O.J and Joanie also had 4 other kitties that lived outside, CK, Emma, Fishie and Rudy; they cared for them, got them spayed, vaccinated and made them home for them to rest safely at night. O.J will be dearly missed by all who knew him, he will never be forgotten.
