Shantilal Bhimji Pandya
August 28, 1944 - June 6, 2021
Shantilal Bhimji Pandya, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend, passed away at 3:41A.M. on Sunday, June 6th, 2021, at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL, with his nieces Arti Jayantilal Pandya-Paolo and Mita Jayantilal Pandya by his side. He is survived by his beloved extended family. After assimilating to life in the United States, Uncle worked with a tight-knit group of colleagues and friends at St. Jude Medical, spending many years with the company as a quality control specialist in the manufacturing of various medical devices. A devoted friend and family member, Uncle loved a good joke, a strong whiskey, and any action-packed Western movie. Throughout his life, Uncle and his wife Kirti generously, and mostly understatedly, supported friends and family, extending a helping hand in times of need. Uncle lived his life with a courageous physical and mental tenacity, an unyielding optimism, and an uplifting sense of humor. He had a strong affinity for Jalaram Bapa, Sai Baba, and Hanuman, a soft heart for the poor and downtrodden, and an innocent and unbridled joy when surrounded by his great-nieces and nephews (and his four-legged best friend, Arti’s dog Raja). He was faithfully married to the love of his life, Kirti, for over 45 years. A funeral service for Uncle will be held at A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations, 910 W. Michigan St., Orlando, FL 32805 at 10:00A.M. EDT on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
