Victor (Jassey/Dadda) Roye Sr.
September 25, 1926 - March 6, 2021
On Saturday March 6, 2021, Victor Roye Sr. loving husband, father of five children, passed away at the age of 94 1/2 years. Victor or as he was known as Jassey to his wife and friends and Dadda to all his family was born on September 25, 1926 in Kingston, Jamaica. On January 1962, he married Phyllis Monica Bruce. Together they raised two daughters, Pauline and Colleen, and three sons, Victor Jr. (Larry), Peter (Toney), and Wayne. Dadda/Jassey was passionate about reading all books and doing crossword puzzles. Playing dominoes with family and friends. Especially winning games with his wife, children, grandkids and great grandkids. He loved to watch movies especially westerns, karate, turner classic movies, and various game shows like Jeopardy. Wrestling was his favorite Monday, Wednesday, Friday past time to watch with his wife. He loved to travel with his family, no matter if it was a local road trip or to different countries. He was always ready to go. Dadda/Jassey loved to eat Mommy's cooking, but especially liked to sneak desserts (he had a notorious sweet tooth). As everyone who ever met him knows he loved music, he is known for playing everything from the oldies to the up to date music of his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids generation. One of his favorite songs was Bob Marley "Three little birds". Dadda/Jassey was a calm man who would do anything for his family, friends (or) strangers. Always willing to lend a hand in need. His love was unconditional and he always showed it in his own unique way. Victor is survived by his wife Phyllis, his five children, 20 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, his nephew Chris and his cat Louie. He will be truly missed and we will carry his memories forever. A Funeral Service will be held on March 20, 2021 at A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations at 11:00 a.m.
