Jean Marcelin

Jean Marcelin was born on December 10, 1975, in LaGonave, Haiti, he is the third child of Mr. Willy Marcelin and Etude Charles. Jean had 4 brothers and 2 sisters; Anthony Marcelin, Roosevelt Marcelin who passed away 2010, Danule Felix and Pascal Felix. His sisters name are; Fleurette and Jacqueline Felix. Jean grew up mostly in Saint Marc, Haiti where he completed his elementary school. Between year 1992 and 1993, Jean achieved most of his secondary education in Haiti, through Adem College and Saint Jean College. In that same year Jean met his best friend, Josephine. And, in 1994 after Jean graduated high school, he started his professional education in civil engineering in Superior Technical College of Haiti (Institut Superieur Technique D’Haiti) founded by Richard LeConte. In 1998 Jean decided to officially declare his love for Josephine in front of all the parents. God was in the midst of the relationship so the parents. When Jean finished his professional studies in 2001, he obtained a position with USAID (United States Agency of International Development) in a road project that lasted about two years. In 2002, Jean and Josephine decided to get engaged and on December 26, 2003, the couple decided to continue with their love in the bond of marriage, according to biblical principles. In July 2004, Jean got into a fire accident and suffered third degree burns. Thank God, Jean recovered from that accident and continue with his life. In March 2007, Jean entered the United States to live with his wife Josephine Marcelin, and on January 12, 2008, the Lord had blessed this loving couple with their first daughter named Zayara. And on June 18th, 2013 the lord had blessed the couple again with a second daughter, named Sarai-Elisha. On July 1st, 2015, the Lord blessed them again with their third and last daughter named Vanaiah-Esther. In that same year, Jean had been accepted in the plumbing apprenticeship program from Modern Plumbing. Jean studied plumbing for 4 years and graduated in 2021 (should have been in 2020 but the course was on hold due to covid-19). At the end of 2021 Jean started to get ready to prepare for the plumbing license exam, but unfortunately, in the beginning of 2022 year, Jean had started to face some health challenges. In May 2022 he was admitted to the hospital for the first time, where he was diagnosed with multiple strokes syndrome and from there, he started to get worse. The family had hold onto some hope through prayers and thanksgiving, but every now and then Jean would get a little better and after a certain time, he would get worse. After battling with this sickness for about six months, the Lord Almighty God had called Jean home to continue his great work. ________________________________________________________________________________ Fr.
