Judith “Judy” M. Perez passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family. Judy was born on April 29, 1955, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to Luca Rivera Rodriguez and Jose Elias Rodriguez. She spent her early years there, carrying with her the warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit of her roots throughout her life. In 1987, she moved to Orlando, Florida, where she built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and hard work. Judy was married to the love of her life, Edwin Perez, who preceded her in death on August 21, 2024. Their bond was one of devotion and partnership, and together they created a loving home and raised three children: Jessie, Jeffrey, and Joshua Perez, who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Joseph Rodriguez. For 30 years, Judy was a loyal and dedicated employee of Publix Supermarkets. Her strong work ethic, kindness, and friendly spirit left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike. After retiring, she embraced life’s simple pleasures. She developed a love for watching movies and television series, and she discovered a true passion for scrapbooking. Judy had a remarkable gift for creativity; her scrapbooks were not just albums but treasured works of art that beautifully preserved family memories and left everyone in awe of her talent. The crowning glory of Judy’s life was becoming a grandmother. Her grandchildren—Joel, Jayden, Yalyna, Yamil, AJ, Nick —were her greatest joy. Yalina, her only granddaughter, held a particularly special place in her heart. Judy made it her mission to be present and involved in each of their lives, offering unconditional love, encouragement, and countless cherished moments they will carry with them forever. Judy will always be remembered for her noble heart, humble spirit, and joyful, one-of-a-kind personality. She had a way of making others feel loved and welcomed, and her presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her. Though she is no longer with us physically, her love remains deeply rooted in the hearts of all who knew her. During this difficult time, we find peace in knowing she is in heaven, reunited with her beloved husband, watching over each of us who cherished her with all our hearts. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
