Katherine Elizabeth Raue

Katherine Elizabeth “Kaye” Raue passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, after facing health challenges in recent years, and is now at rest with her parents, Roy E. Raue and Marie C. Raue (née Wenzel). Kaye was born in Fayetteville, NC on January 6, 1955 and passed in Orlando, FL on August 19, 2026. She is survived by her sister, Karen M. Wahl; her niece Laura Alderman and husband Daryl; and her nephew Brent Winn and wife Donna. She is also survived by her sister, Karol A. Camp and husband David; her niece Allison Mocilnikar. And by her brother, Kenneth L. Raue; her nephew Jon Raue and wife Jennifer; and her niece Jennifer Ducharme and husband Kevin. Kaye is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews as their favorite aunt. Kaye earned an Associate of Arts degree from Valencia Community College, a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, and a law degree from the University of Denver Law School. After graduating, she passed the Florida Bar Examination and worked with several Orlando-area attorneys, focusing primarily on legal research. While at University of South Florida, Kaye did a Summer internship in Washington D.C. While at University of Denver she did an internship in Alaska working with indigenous people. She also served as the Editor of the law review magazine while attending the University of Denver Amongst her hobbies were hot air ballooning, designing and making stain glass pieces, pencil sketching, painting, designing and crocheting afghans for family and friends. She also had a love for animals, adopting several dogs during her life, spoiling them with her love. Following her father’s passing, Kaye became the primary caregiver for her mother, a role she carried out with great devotion until her mother’s passing. Kaye is best remembered by her sisters, brother, nieces, nephews and friends for her love and collection of Chameleons and often used the nickname of “Kaymeleon”. A Celebration of Life will be held at Spirit of Joy Church, 1801 Rouse Road, Orlando, FL 32817 on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 pm. Donations of flowers can be sent to the church on Saturday, September 19th. Alternatively, it would be appreciated for donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Katherine E. Raue.
