Nicole Lauren McGonagill

Nicole Lauren McGonagill, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, and friend has passed away at the age of 22 on January 30, 2024. Nicole was born on May 25, 2001, at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Florida to her loving parents, Jamie and Aurora McGonagill, and her excited big sister, Sarah. Initially shy, Nicole was curious and creative from the start. She was baptized at the Cathedral Chapel of St. Vibiana in Los Angeles, California. Nicole attended kindergarten through 8th grade at St. John Vianney (SJV) Catholic School. She was a member of the SJV Players and was elected Student Council Public Relations Officer in 8th grade. She also served as a cantor, altar server, and choir member at SJV Catholic Church, where she received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Nicole completed high school with the Orange County Virtual School. She graduated with high honors and received the MVP Forensic Science Award. She attended the Surgical Technology Program at City College while she was working. Nicole had excellent communication, technology, marketing, and customer service skills. She was hardworking and quick to learn, a superb team player, and loved by her coworkers and clients. She worked as a Sales and Photography Associate at Colorvision Amazing Pictures, Operations Manager at Sports Performance and Weightlifting Academy, and as a Customer Service Representative at The Home Depot. She was fortunate to have worked as a Patient Care Coordinator at Sand Lake Dermatology Center and Patient Registration Specialist at Orlando Orthopedic Center. Nicole enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was blessed with many gifts and talents. Nicole was a brilliant writer, poet, and artist. She was involved in the performing arts, played the piano and clarinet, and enjoyed reading, singing, listening to music, and dancing. Nicole was passionate about various arts and crafts, especially drawing, painting, and jewelry making. She often gifted her finished projects to friends and family on special occasions, or just to cheer them up. Nicole loved to go to the beach, travel and see local sights, try new experiences, and experiment with a variety of foods, despite her numerous childhood food allergies. Nicole brought joy, love, and happiness to many people throughout her entire life. She touched the lives of everyone she met in a loving and unique way. At such a young age, and through her kind, caring, loving, and compassionate nature, she made a positive impact on many people’s lives, young and old. She also loved and took great care of her precious pets, Lilly and Baibes. Nicole was a ray of sunshine that brightened every room she walked into, with her beautiful smile and warm hugs. She made people happy, and inspired and motivated others. Nicole loved helping and lifting others’ spirits. Memories of her big, beautiful smile and cheerful nature will be cherished forever by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Nicole is reunited with her paternal grandparents (Bud and Ann), maternal grandfather (Rogelio), and other beloved family members and friends, who had gone before us in Heaven. Nicole was God’s blessing to the world, if only for a short while, and her ministry was to serve others. She is survived by her loving parents, Jamie and Aurora; her older sister, Sarah; maternal grandmother, Ana; godparents, Ronald and Ruth; uncles, aunts, cousins, and a very close circle of extended family and friends, who deeply love her and mourn her passing. Nicole was unique, irreplaceable, and unforgettable - we will miss her dearly. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
