Odell Davis

Odell Davis, age 66 of Orlando, Florida passed away Thursday September 9, 2021. Odell was born in South Carolina on February 18, 1955. Odell Davis was born to Mr. and Mrs. George E. and Sarah N. Davis in Columbia, South Carolina. His family later moved to Bellglade, Fl where he received his early childhood education. Odell would finish his education at Evans High School in Orlando, Fl where he was a proud Trojan. He decided as an adult to make Orlando his permanent home. This is also where he met and married Gloria. He purchased a home in Tangelo Park and there he raised his children. Odell began working for Orange County Government as a Commercial Truck Driver in the early eighties and was gainfully employed there for 20 years until his retirement. Being so young when he retired he just couldn't keep still so he took on a variety of part-time jobs around the city. He loved fishing and would fish all day everyday if he could. He was fun to just around and conversate with about anything because his sense of humor was neverending. He thought he was an expert at the card table spades or tunk. Put up or shut up was his motto. He loved hanging out and sharing stories with his grandchildren. Odell will be forever loved and missed. Odell was preceded in death by both his parents, his sisters Linda and Vonda Davis, and also his brother Ronnie Davis. Left to forever cherish his memories are his: Sons: Christopher Martin Sr. and Damon A. Streeter Sr., Daughter: Charlene Streeter Davis, Grandsons: Damon A. Streeter Jr., Deundre Reid, Christopher Martin Jr. and Zechariah Odell Davis. Granddaughters: Daschicka Streeter and Charia Davis. Great Granddaughters: Javeah Reed and Haleigh Streeter. SIBLINGS- Brothers: George Davis Sr. and Henry Davis. Sister: Gloria E. Davis. GREAT AUNT- Judy Kate Glenn of Dorchester, S.C. UNCLES and AUNTS- Johnson Tenny of Four Oaks, N.C., Queenie Gibson of South Bay, Fl, Charles (Charlene), Tenny of Rocky Mount, N. C.,Diane Tenny of Smithville N.C. and Evelyn Tenny of Orlando, Fl. Odell also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
