Rosalba Plazas de Forero, “Abuelita ” Naciste como nacen los grandes, en Bogotá, hacia 1930, y allí creciste junto con tus padres Crecensiano y Carmen, y tus hermanos Miguel y Blanca. A los diecinueve años le entregaste tu vida a Manuel Forero, tu compañero de más de cuarenta años. Tuviste dos hijos a quienes amaste como a nadie. Ellos te han dado seis nietos y cuatro bisnietos que han sido tu luz y tu confort. Nos enseñaste a ser gente de bien – éticos, íntegros, trabajadores, comprensivos, generosos y luchadores. De ti aprendimos el amor, lo valiosa que es la vida y somos fiel reflejo de tus principios y sobre todo tu fe en Dios. Nos queda la responsabilidad de vivir la vida siguiendo tu ejemplo extraordinario. Decidiste acompañar a Papi, el amor de tu vida, en el cielo y disfrutar de ese sitio que llevaba veintiún años preparándote. Tenemos pensado celebrar tu vida con los seres que más has querido -‐ Juan Francisco y su esposa Edna, hijos Daniela, Lorena, Diego y Carlos; Yolanda y su esposo Juan, hijos Julián y su esposa Neha, Asha y Zara tus bisnietas; y Andrés y su esposa Lindsay junto con tus bisnietos Fenix y Milo. Unidos a nosotros estarán también presentes física o espiritualmente tu familia Plazas, Casas, Forero, Londoño, Castrillón, tu mejor amiga Amparo y una multitud de amigos incondicionales que te amaban tanto como nosotros. Nos reuniremos en la parroquia de Juan Francisco y familia, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter FL 33458, el día Jueves 5 de Mayo, a la 1:00 p.m. Sabemos que estarás con nosotros ese día….y siempre. Yolanda y Juan Francisco Reflections from your grandchildren: Fenix Jude Londoño is your first great grandson and holding him was a milestone you never thought possible. Four great grand babies later, you continued to give the same, unconditional love you showed to your own Daughter, Son, and Grandchildren. The spoils of ice cream and M&M's were only eclipsed by your sweet and caring nature. Always providing the most sincere council, you would take my hand, look me in the eyes and I would know that your intentions were pure. We were so lucky to share this life with you, Abuelita, and you will always adorn our hearts with the most wonderful memories. Andrés Londoño Forero Abuelita, thank you for filling our tummies with “Abuelita’s Sopa” and your purse filled with M&Ms and Kit Kats, just like the candies you kept for Papi when he was young. You always made sure we had chocolate chip waffles and chocolate milk too when we came to visit. And the drive home was just as special, with big chocolate chip cookies. Most importantly, thank you for being such a wonderful example of faith, from teaching us the Angel de la Guarda to your daily rosaries and Velas to keep us safe, nearer to God, no matter what part of the world we were in. We are comforted knowing “que sigues rezando por toda la familia”. And as your Diego has told us, “I am 1% sad that Abuelita is not hear with us but 99% happy that she is not hurting and in Heaven with God”. Carlos also wrote you a poem that you did not get to see: "The Necklace" My Grandma is sick So she gave me a necklace It is small, it is gold. It shows a Pope on it and Rome. It makes me feel joyful to the heart.
